HDV is the new low cost High
Definition format. Canon, JVC and Sony are some of the principle manufaturers
of HDV equipment. The format records a variety of HD resolutions and frame rates
onto a standard DV type cassette. HDV uses MPEG2 compression to compress the images
to a size that will fit on a DV tape. You can record 60mins of HDV on a standard
